I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve done one of these! At this point the Nuthatch has been in its current configuration for about three years- time really flies! I have a few new friends, though, and I know things can get confusing here at the Nuthatch, here’s the scorecard for those of you playing at home. If you feel compelled to exit afterwards, please do so quietly, OK? Thanks.
ME- Stay-at-Nuthatch mom to Teagan and Eowyn, below. Editor, reader, reviewer, fangirl, writer, pretty much in that order. Knitter. Player/addict of Skyrim.
Scott, aka The Mythical Husband- My legal husband of 14 years. Electrical Engineer for the Navy. Builds robots, plays video games, is equal parts wonderful and obnoxious. Known as the Mythical Husband because we spend so much time at distances from each other, and for the first 4 years we were married (while he was in the Marine Corps) most of my family had never met him. Father of Teagan and Eowyn (below).
CeCe- Scott's girlfriend, whom he met while stationed in Afghanistan for a year. She is brilliant but socially awkward, also an engineer and a reluctant but deeply gifted domestic goddess. Lives a few blocks away; guardian and medical contact for the kids.
Crystal, aka evil_erato- My non-legal wife. Pagan priestess, fangirl, lover of bad cooking shows, cranky driver, spinner and sometimes knitter, beautiful and funny. Lives about 40 minutes away.
Eowyn aka Wynnie- My eldest daughter, 8 years old. Artistic, fashion-savvy, funny. Also, unfortunately, prone to whineyness and negativity. She has the same anxiety disorder I do.
Teagan aka Tigger- My youngest daughter, 3 years old. Dangerously cute, dangerously clever, and just plain dangerous. More likely to end up in juvie than college.
Shawn- Our housemate, my friend from college. We’ve been friends for 17 years! He unfortunately is plagued with a crazy ex-, Cindy, whom I rant about occasionally because she will not leave me alone. Shawn’s a bit of an arse, and horrible with women (people?), but we love him anyway.
That about covers it. Questions/comments welcome, preaching or drama not so much. Thanks!
